The DLG Viral Video Scholarship Contest™ was created as a community service project to help educate the public on safe driving practices by awarding a scholarship to the film student or video production enthusiast who creates the best public service announcement video.

Public Service Announcements (PSAs): Any topic on public safety
Video can cover any topic about public safety. Topics such as but not limited to; Safe driving, bicycle safety, pedestrian awareness.

Contest Entry Period

2011-2012 Viral Video Scholarship Contest begins September 1, 2011. All contest entries must be received no later than March 31, 2012 at 11:59pm Pacific Time. Any entries received after that time will not be accepted. See official rules for submission information.

Judging

Public judging will begin as soon as the entry requirements are received by the Davis Law Group. Contestant videos will be displayed on a unique webpage on the Davis Law Group website. Public voting will consist of views, comments, likes, plus 1′s and tweets on the contestants unique webpage. Judging will end on May 1, 2012.

Scholarship Winner Announced

The winner will be announced on May 15, 2012 on the DLG website

Prizes

Contestants will be separated into two groups based on their current education institution (high school or college) at the time of the entry submission. One (1) winner will be selected from each grouping.

High School Winner: $1,500

College/University Winner: $1,500

Each winner will receive a scholarship, which can be used towards tuition at a recognized academic institution. The prize will be awarded as a check made payable to the institution.
